- Can I bring my camera to the rodeo or Frontier Nights events?
-
Cheyenne Frontier Days will allow photography, videotaping and digital image capture
of the rodeo for private and personal use, as long as this activity does not interfere
with the ability of other spectators to view the rodeo and the photographer does
not occupy seats he or she has not purchased.
-
Any commercial use or distribution without the express written consent of Cheyenne
Frontier Days is strictly prohibited. You may use photographs, videotape or digital
images obtained from Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo solely for private or personal,
non-commercial purposes only. Any other use, including for any commercial, issue
advocacy or fundraising purposes, is strictly prohibited without our express prior
written consent. Systematic retrieval of images from the rodeo, whether to create
or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection or compilation is prohibited absent
our express prior written consent.
-
We will continue to support our artists' and copyright requirements by prohibiting
any sound, film or video tape reproductions of the night show performances without
an agreement with the performers involved, and Cheyenne Frontier Days.
-
Our goal has been and continues to be to prevent the unauthorized use of Cheyenne
Frontier Days imagery for commercial use, profit generation or the promotion of
organizations and agendas unrelated to Cheyenne Frontier Days. As a result, photography
and videotaping for personal use is welcomed.
-
Many contestants use private video of their performances to improve their performances
and their technique. We have also heard from many fans who were disappointed with
this policy. As a result, we will continue to work toward our stated goal of preventing
inappropriate use, but we will allow personal photography and video taping of the
rodeo as long as this activity does not interfere with the ability of other spectators
to view the rodeo and the photographer does not occupy seats they have not purchased.
