The Cheyenne Frontier Days Military Committee is hard at work finalizing details for the 2006 Coronation Ball. This event is the traditional kickoff of Cheyenne Frontier Days, and this year will honor Miss Frontier 2006, Juliana “Boo” Edwards.

This year’s Coronation Ball will be held on Saturday, July 15, at the Cheyenne Holiday Inn. Cocktails are at 6:00 p.m. and the festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The formal presentation portion of the ball will be condensed, and dancing will begin by 9:00 p.m., with entertainment provided by KyleYates & Morningstar. Masters of Ceremonies will be Cynthia Lummis, a former Miss Frontier, and Phil Van Horn, a former General Committee chairman. Both have served Cheyenne Frontier Days on the Board of Directors.

This year’s royalty saddle sponsor, Pioneer Printing, will continue the long-standing tradition of presenting Miss Frontier with her handmade saddle at the Coronation Ball. Made by Tim Bath, the hand tooled saddle has become a symbol of Cheyenne Frontier Days Royalty.
