Cheyenne Frontier Days Names New Committee Chairs for 112th Annual Celebration

The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee named two new committee members for the 2008 celebration at a meeting last night. Off-going chairmen are John Contos, Public Relations committee and Barry Kistler, Military committee.

Replacing John Contos as Public Relations Chairman is Jerry Ciz. Ciz is an Associate Broker for The Property Exchange. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Wyoming and an M.B.A. from Preston University. He is active with the Board of Directors of the YMCA. Ciz has been involved with the Public Relations committee since 1987, and is a member of the Heels Organization.

Following Barry Kistler as Military Chairman is Gary Pond. Pond is a Colonel in the United States Air Force and is currently stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Louisville, a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Wichita State University, an M.A. in History from Central Missouri State and an M.S. in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University. He is a member of the Air Force Association and the Masonic Order.

"We are looking forward to beginning the planning process for the 2008 show with these two new chairmen," said General Chairman, Charlie West. "We intend to make the 2008 show the best yet."
