On Wednesday, December 14 tickets will go on sale for three concerts: Martina McBride will perform on July 22; Keith Urban will return on July 23; and Trace Adkins will team up with Montgomery Gentry on July 28. Concert tickets range from $27 to $47
Earlier this year, Martina McBride completed the album Timeless, which celebrates some of the most prolific country classics of our time. She hand-picked musicians and recorded over 30 classic country tunes to get just the right feel for the album which pays homage to the original recordings. "Every time I hear this music, it feels like coming home," says McBride.
Be Here is Keith Urban's follow up to his 2002 double-platinum album Golden Road. Be Here, co-produced by Dann Huff and Urban himself, went platinum in just six weeks after debuting at #1 on Billboard's Country Album Chart and #3 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart, and was named Album of the Year at the 2005 Academy of Country Music Awards. "If there was a theme to this album, it would be the big questions I ask just like anybody else: What are we doing here? What's life about?" says Urban.
Trace Adkins' latest release is Songs About Me. The album is filled with the kind of grit and passion for which he has always been known, and the title track is the fastest-moving single he's had in several years. The recognition may be greater than ever, but the formula behind the music hasn't changed. "I record songs I can believe in and sing with conviction," Adkins says. "It's that simple."
The release of Montgomery Gentry's Something to be Proud Of: The Best of 1999 - 2005 collects the hits that have built one of country music's present-day most storied careers, a career that continues to grow at breathtaking speed. "It feels like we just put on our Hillbilly Shoes," says Eddie Montgomery. "I can't believe we've got a Greatest Hits album out. In a sense, it feels like we're just now getting started."
