6/3/2008: Cheyenne Frontier Days offers V.I.P. Package Auction
For a limited time, Cheyenne Frontier Days will be offering select V.I.P. entertainment packages for auction. Bids will be collected by emailing auction@cfdrodeo.com with the intended bid amount through July 4 at midnight. Packages will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the end of the designated bid period. Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer Crisis Fund.

Get ready for a night of 70's rock hits! Cheyenne Frontier Days is pleased to announce that four legendary classic rock bands - The Guess Who, War, Firefall, and Atlanta Rhythm Section - will be featured at the Friday, July 18th night show.
4/16/2008: Cheyenne Frontier Days announces comedian Bill Engvall and singer Randy Owen with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra on July 26
Cheyenne Frontier Days is pleased to announce two kinds of entertainment for Saturday, July 26. Both comedian Bill Engvall, and Randy Owen, performing with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, will take the stage on the final night of the Frontier Nights concert series. Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 21 and will range from $25 to $45.

12/6/2007: Cheyenne Frontier Days Wins 2007 Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year
Cheyenne Frontier Days received the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year award for the ninth time at a National Finals Rodeo award banquet held in Las Vegas, Nevada last night.

Kimberly Alexis Kuhn was named Lady-In-Waiting last night after a selection process which included submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration and an interview.
8/13/2007: Cheyenne Frontier Days Announces 2008 Dandies Tryouts
Cheyenne Frontier Days has scheduled tryouts for the 2008 Dandies, an equestrian drill team that serves as goodwill ambassadors for the annual event. The tryouts will take place Sunday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Arena on Frontier Park.

The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee named two new committee members for the 2008 celebration at a meeting last night. Off-going chairmen are John Contos, Public Relations committee and Barry Kistler, Military committee.
7/23/2007: The 2007 Pancake Breakfasts Begin
The annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfasts began this morning at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza at 16th and Capitol Avenue. The breakfast is free to all and will be served between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23; Wednesday, July 25; and Friday, July 27. This popular breakfast event is sponsored by Grease Monkey and Hormel, coordinated by the Cheyenne Frontier Days Indian Committee, and prepared and served by the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club. The line will accept visitors until 9:00 a.m. Everyone in line by 9:00 a.m. is guaranteed to be served!

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Military Committee is hard at work finalizing details for the 2007 Coronation Ball. This event is the traditional kickoff of Cheyenne Frontier Days, and this year will honor Miss Frontier 2007, Katie Mae Landers.
7/9/2007: Cheyenne Frontier Days Cattle Drive: Sunday, July 15 at 8:30 am
Cheyenne Frontier Days will drive 550 head of Corriente long horned steers from the pasture north of Cheyenne along I-25 and through the city streets into Frontier Park Sunday, July 15. The drive begins at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of I-25 & Horse Creek Road north of the city. It then moves along I-25 on the Eastern frontage road to Hynds Blvd, turns south to Central Avenue to Kennedy Road, and then moves fro Kennedy Road to Carey Avenue and into Frontier Park.
6/1/2007: Traffic Pattern around Frontier Park To Change for 2007 Celebration
The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee has worked this year with city officials to develop a new traffic pattern around Frontier Park to minimize cross-traffic entering the park. In addition to efficient traffic flow, the goal of this new traffic pattern is to improve safety for City of Cheyenne employees and Cheyenne Frontier Days volunteers.

3/30/2007: Lady-In-Waiting Kari Ward Received Deputy Sheriff Badge from Sheriff's Office
Lady-In-Waiting Kari Ward today received the Deputy Sherriff badge from Sherriff Danny Glick. It is a symbolic gesture, similar to receiving the key to a city. Kari Ward will travel with Miss Frontier Katie Landers to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days in 2007.

10/31/2006: Cheyenne Frontier Days Donates Proceeds from Tough Enough To Wear Pink Day
General Chairman Charlie West and former General Chairman Ken McCann together presented a donation to the local chapter of the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation. The donation totaled $8,230.62 and was the result of pin sales, rodeo ticket sales and contributions supporting the Tough Enough To Wear Pink effort.
9/14/2006: Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee Names Kari Ward 2007 Lady-In-Waiting
Kari Ward was named Lady-In-Waiting last night after a selection process which included submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration and an interview.
Kari, who is the daughter of Jim and Theresa Ward, grew up in Cheyenne. She is a graduate of Cheyenne East High School, and currently attends the University of Wyoming where she studies Elementary Education. Her activities include FFA, DECA, Speech and Debate Teams, Special Olympics Coaching and the Tri Delta Sorority. Kari served as a Cheyenne Frontier Days Dandy for five years.

Cheyenne Frontier Days officials have tallied the numbers from this year’s show, and have determined that total attendance to all Cheyenne Frontier Days events was 574,000 guests.

Cheyenne Frontier Days is pleased to announce that the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, Miles the Mascot and Denver Broncos alumni Randy Gradishar and Karl Mecklenburg will make an appearance at Cheyenne Frontier Days on Saturday, July 22. The alumni, cheerleaders and Miles will be signing autographs, posing for pictures and meeting with fans from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Frontier Park Oasis Area, just inside the main gate.

Cheyenne Frontier Days will open sales for the 2006 season with rodeo tickets, Professional Bull Riders tickets, the Season Pass Carnival Armband and gift certificates on Monday, December 12. Rodeo tickets range from $11 to $25; Professional Bull Riders tickets range from $28 to $38; the Season Pass Carnival Armband is $60; and Gift Certificates can be purchased in any denomination.
