Katherine Olson has been named Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) Lady-In-Waiting 2025 after a selection process including submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration, and an interview.
Katherine is the daughter of Mike and Sheri Olson. She is a 2023 graduate of Burns High School. Olson has been involved in many agricultural pursuits through 4-H, FFA, and competitively exhibiting livestock on a local, state and national level. Currently, she is attending the University of Wyoming, where she is pursuing a degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in production.
Katherine considers herself a first-generation Cheyenne Frontier Days volunteer. Her passion for horses, the rodeo lifestyle, and western values made the Dandies an ideal fit. Katherine’s dedication as Cheyenne Frontier Days Dandy team member, drill leader, and most recently as Assistant Director demonstrates her commitment to excellence in the arena and in the community.
“As the new CFD Miss Lady-In-Waiting, I am ready to promote the esteemed reputation of Cheyenne Frontier Days, champion the traditions of our western heritage, and hold true to the volunteer spirit that has enabled Cheyenne Frontier Days to prosper for 128 years and counting. I am ready to be part of the legendary Daddy of ‘em All that hosts, educates, inspires and entertains a global audience,” Katherine said.

Cheyenne Frontier Days™ is currently accepting applications for the 2025 Lady-In-Waiting. Applicants must be a resident of Laramie County, and a high school graduate at the time of the application. Applications are available at Cheyenne Frontier Days Headquarters, 1230 W 8th Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001, or on their website
Submitted applications must be accompanied by a notebook/portfolio that details the applicants’ accomplishments and background. Applications and portfolio/notebooks are due at Cheyenne Frontier Days Headquarters by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 23.
The Lady-In-Waiting will be under the direction of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Indians Committee. Miss Frontier will assist the Lady-In-Waiting in learning her role as spokesperson for Cheyenne Frontier Days™.
In addition to submitting a written application, candidates will need to demonstrate horsemanship skills on Sunday, August 25 and participate in a personal interview on Monday, August 26.
Haylie Turley has been named Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) Lady-In-Waiting 2024 after a selection process including submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration, and an interview.
Haylie is the daughter of Sherry and George Anadiotis and Scott and Crystal Turley. She is a 2022 graduate of Cheyenne East High School. Haylie dedicated her high school years to 4H cattle showing and FFA leadership and showmanship. Currently, she is attending Laramie County Community College, where she is pursuing a degree in nursing with a goal of transferring to the University of Wyoming to obtain her BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and eventually a doctorate in nursing practice, which will allow her to further serve Wyoming.
It has been Haylie’s lifelong dream to be a part of Cheyenne Frontier Days. She has looked up to the men and women dedicated to the western lifestyle. When she started riding, she realized this was her chance to be the next generation to live and breathe the brand. Haylie was a CFD Dandy and drill leader for four years. She also continued her volunteerism on the Parades Committee for a year as a Mounted Marshall assisting in the safety of spectators and participants on parade days.
“It is with the utmost pride and honor that I have been selected as the 2024 Miss Lady-In-Waiting! Representing Cheyenne Frontier Days is a timeless tradition that I am more than grateful to be a part of. I am beyond excited to represent and serve 3,000+ volunteers, the people of Cheyenne and the legacy of rodeo. I hope to always put the interests of the people, contestants, and volunteers first, as they are the heart and foundation of CFD. I promise as Miss Lady-In-Waiting to do my best in educating and promoting this beautiful way of life,” Haylie said.

Caitlin Garcia has been named Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) Lady-In-Waiting 2023 after a selection process including submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration, and an interview.
Caitlin is the daughter of Cesar and Denise Garcia. She is a 2017 graduate of Cheyenne Central High School. After high school she was a full-time student at Laramie County Community College where she achieved her associates degrees in Animal Science, Equine Science, and Equine Training. Currently, she is attending the University of Wyoming, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
Caitlin’s first time in the CFD Arena was at the age of 8, competing in junior barrel racing. She represented CFD across Wyoming and surrounding states for five years as a Dandy. The accomplishments she is most proud of include: Reserve National Champion Veterinary Science Team, Top 20 National Veterinary Science Individual, and multiple local, regional, and national wins showing horses in versatility, ranch horse competitions, and horsemanship.
“It is a true honor to be selected as the 2023 Lady-in-Waiting! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo and the western way of life. To become my own childhood hero is an indescribable feeling! To know I have been chosen to represent the 3000+ volunteers who are Cheyenne Frontier Days and continue the legacy of Cheyenne Frontier Days royalty is truly humbling. I hope to make each person proud and fill the boots of those who rode before me,” Garcia said.
Caitlin will work with Miss Frontier, Jordan Johnson in 2023 to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Jordan Johnson has been named Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) Lady-In-Waiting 2022 after a selection process including submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration, and an interview.
Jordan is the daughter of Darrel Johnson and Steve and Rachelle Zimmerman. She is a 2019 graduate of Cheyenne Central High School. Currently, she is employed at University of Wyoming, where she is also pursuing a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
Johnson represented CFD across Wyoming and surrounding states for four years as a Dandy. She was also a 4-H member for 9 years, winning numerous placings including Grand Champion Horse Showman, Grand Champion Quarter Horse, Grand Champion Photograph and Grand Champion Western Reining. Jordan is a longtime volunteer of many organizations including Cheyenne Firefighters Charitree, The Empty Stocking Fund, Day of Giving, Booklover’s Bash, United Way of Laramie County Kickoff event, and Women’s Civic League workshops.
“I am so honored to be named Miss Lady-in-Waiting. I am so exceptionally humbled to have been entrusted with representing the 3,000+ volunteers that make this show possible. I hope to make each and every one of them proud. I am so excited to work with the General Committee and Savannah to make the 126th a great year. Here is to the Daddy of ‘em All,” Johnson said.

The Cheyenne Frontier Days™ (CFD) General Committee announced that Miss Frontier, Bailey Bishop, and her Lady-in-Waiting, Savannah Messenger will continue their roles into 2021 for the 125th celebration. The annual event, known as the “Daddy of ‘em All®,” will not take place in 2020.
“While I am saddened that we will not be having Cheyenne Frontier Days™ this year, I understand the importance of keeping our community safe and healthy. I am honored the General Committee is allowing me the opportunity, and think highly enough of me to continue through next year as Miss Frontier 2021 for the 125th celebration,” Bishop said.
Bailey, the daughter of Todd and Jan Bishop, is a 2016 graduate of Burns High School. Bishop spent two years at Laramie County Community College. Currently, she is enrolled at the University of Wyoming. Bailey has been involved with CFD most of her life. She has participated in the Grand Parades, competed in junior barrels, and was a Dandy throughout high school.
“I’m confident in the opportunity to represent the Daddy of ‘em All for an additional year with my Miss Frontier and best friend, Bailey Bishop, by my side once again,” Messenger said. “I had the best year building up to the 124th celebration, and I look forward to another successful year getting ready for the unforgettable 125th. The community of Cheyenne is like no other – strong and courageous. We all ride for the brand because that’s the cowboy way. I’m excited to keep doing what we love.”

Currently, Savannah is a dental assistant at Grand Avenue Dental Center, and she is pursuing a degree in Communications at Laramie County Community College. Miss Frontier and her Lady-in-Waiting will work together in 2021 to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in both the United States and Canada.
Savannah Messenger has been named Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) Lady-In-Waiting 2020 after a selection process including submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration and an interview.
Savannah is the daughter of Kirk Messenger, Raedene Messenger and the late Mark Messenger. She is a 2016 graduate of Cheyenne Central High School. Currently, Savannah is a dental assistant at Grand Avenue Dental Center, and she is perusing a degree in communications at Laramie County Community College.
Messenger has participated in grand parades, and she was a CFD Dandy in high school. She volunteers as an outrider on the Parades Committee, and she also volunteers on Public Relations Committee as a coordinator for the visiting state royalty.
“My heart is so full as I prepare to take on the responsibilities and goals of promoting and representing the World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo and Western Celebration. I feel very privileged to be the 124th Lady-in-Waiting for the Daddy of ‘em All. Thank you to the CFD General Committee, I am truly honored to ride for the brand,” Messenger said.
Savannah will work with Miss Frontier, Bailey Bishop in 2020 to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in both the United States and Canada.
Bailey Bishop has been named 2019 Lady-In-Waiting after a selection process including submitting a written application, an accomplishment book, a horsemanship skills demonstration and an interview.
Bailey, the daughter of Todd and Jan Bishop, is a 2016 graduate of Burns High School. Bishop spent two years at Laramie County Community College. Currently, she is enrolled at the University of Wyoming going into her junior year majoring in Physiology. Bailey has been involved with Cheyenne Frontier Days™ most of her life. She has participated in the Grand Parades, competed in junior barrels, and was a Dandy throughout high school.
“I love the sport of rodeo and the Western way of life. Truly, I feel honored to have the privilege to be a part of the deep traditions of the greatest rodeo and Western celebration in the world.” Bishop said.
Bailey will work with Miss Frontier, Halley Jankovsky in 2019 to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in both the United States and Canada.
