Ever wondered how many flapjacks 30,000 hungry visitors can devour? Find out at the Free Pancake Breakfasts during Cheyenne Frontier Days! Since 1952, this beloved tradition has become a highlight of the celebration, drawing locals and visitors alike to the Cheyenne Depot for a morning of great food and community spirit. Hosted by the Kiwanis Club with help from Cheyenne’s Boy and Girl Scouts, the breakfast isn’t just about fun—it’s also a showcase of skill in feeding large crowds, a practice that has proven invaluable in times of need.
With the help of Community Coffee, Black Hills Energy, and the City of Cheyenne, over 100,000 flapjacks will be sizzling on military ranges. That’s 5,000 pounds of pancake mix, 9,200 cartons of milk, 520 gallons of coffee, 630 pounds of butter, and 475 gallons of syrup—all served with a special Cheyenne “howdy” and a warm smile.
