Museum Event Sponsors receive added benefits and VIP status for any of our four main annual events described below: Western Spirit Art Show and Sale, CFD Western Art Show and Sale, CFD Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and the Annual MuseumFest.

Western Spirit Juried Art Show & Sale

Over 500 guests attend opening night, the first Saturday of March. The art show features up to 100 artists and displays over 300 works of fine Western art including the Vandewark Miniature Show. Opening night festivities include the popular Quick-Draw Auction.

41st Annual CFD Western Art Show & Sale

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show is an invitational show which features the nation’s top Western artists presenting original art that celebrates the heritage and the future of the American West. Over the last 40 years, this high-caliber art show has become the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum’s largest fundraiser supporting Arts Education, Exhibits, Collections, and Operations.

Opening night traditionally attracts over 800 guests, over 10,000 visitors during the 10 days of Cheyenne Frontier Days™, and an additional 12,000 during the extended August showing. Marketing efforts reach a total audience of over 300,000.

CFD Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Over 300 guests annually attend the induction ceremony, the second Friday in September. The CFD Hall of Fame showcases individuals, livestock, and organizations whose distinctive contributions to CFD have helped grow a dream into “The Daddy of ‘em All.”
