The Cheyenne Community is deeply rooted in the Western Rodeo tradition, which includes aspects of Western Art, Parade Carriages, and Ranch history. The cowboys, Native Americans, mountain men, pioneers, and others who tamed the West – share their adventure through the Binson exhibit.
This exhibition explores the recent donation of a vast collection of Western Art from S. George and Helen Binson. The works displayed roughly spans 31 years of collecting art by the Binsons. They were huge advocates of the CFD Western Art Show and Sale and saw the need for the Museum to grow its collection. The artwork includes sculptures, paintings, drawings, and prints. The collection allows the Museum to present a wide range of artworks in various configurations that reflect the view that there are countless ways to explore the history of Western Art and the Binson’s rich collection.
