The Museum Purchase Program art pieces are now on display in the Cheyenne Room and East Gallery.
In an effort to build a quality, permanent western art collection for the Museum, the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ art show committee established a Museum Purchase Program in 1982 in conjunction with the show. Through this program, businesses and individuals are encouraged to purchase a selection from the show as a donation to the Museum’s permanent collection.
Recently, the Museum has expanded this program to include a Contemporary Museum Purchase Program to have artwork from the Museum’s Western Spirit Juried Art Show and Sale included in the collection. The Museum Purchase Program consists of 48 pieces of art from the Western Art Show and 10 from Western Spirit Art Show.
