AFGSC Commander named CFD Grand Marshal

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Gen. Anthony Cotton, commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, was named the Cheyenne Frontier Days Grand Marshal by Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon, at the Governor’s Dinner during the AFGSC Senior Leader Conference April 7, in Cheyenneg.

Cotton took command of AFGSC in 2021, and previously served as the 20th Air Force commander in Cheyenne from November 2015 – January 2018.

The Grand Marshal serves as the honorary lead for of each parade and the grand entry during CFD, carrying on a legacy that has lasted over 70 years.

The Air Force celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, but the ties between F.E. Warren and Cheyenne go back much further. The communities began together in1867 and continue to grow today through engagement and partnership.
