Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Returns to CFD

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (July 20, 2026) — Forty of the best bull riders in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) came to Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) to compete in the Rank 45 Extreme Bulls, part of the 10-day western celebration’s Frontier Nights entertainment series.

Monday was a night of scores in the 90s. Australian Qynn Anderson, the reigning bull riding champion of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, was the first to break into the 90s with a score of 92 on Smith Pro Rodeos’ bull named Chillin.

Hayden Welsh, the Wyoming native who is in a battle for the top of both Rookie of the Year and the world championship standings, stayed in the thick of both races by outscoring 39 other cowboys. His 93.5-point ride on United Pro Rodeo’s bull called Buck Cancer came on the heels of newly crowned Professional Bull Riders world champion and fellow PRCA rookie John Crimber of Decatur, Texas, scored 91.5 on Rafter G Rodeo’s bull named Doze You Down.

Noah Lee of Mineral Wells, Texas, who leads both the rookie and world standings, was the final rider of the night and held his own with another score of 92 on Smith Pro Rodeos’ bull Pain Killer.

Along with more than 10 successful rides, fans got to see the athletic prowess of Manu Lataste, the French bull jumper.

The Xtreme Bulls tour is part of the “Daddy of ‘em All” for the second year and a bull rider could win this event and the rodeo as well. All 40 bull riders will compete again in the second round on Tuesday to determine the event champion.

Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo action continues Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. The second performance of the Xtreme Bulls will be Tuesday night at 8 p.m.
