Graham,Bruce_ Cool of the NightThe Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show features the Nation’s top Western artists presenting over 300 works of original art, celebrating the American West’s heritage, scenery and the Western way of life.

The 36th Annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show Opening Reception is set for July 21, 2016 at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Converging on the CFD Old West Museum like cowboys to the rodeo arena, the artists featured in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show celebrate the American West’s heritage, scenery and the Western way of life.

This year the popular event will feature the works of 60 of the country’s top western and wildlife artists in paintings, sculptures, wood and alabaster carvings and Navajo weavings.

Every year, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show and Sale attracts artists from Nebraska to California and Montana to Arizona who all share the same passion-a love for the great American West and its traditions.

The Opening Reception kicks off with an art preview at 3:30 p.m. at the Museum. Then head over to the Wyoming Governor’s Residence, to mingle with the artists, the Governor and First Lady with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn. The show and sale opens at 6 p.m., and includes a “Buy it Now” option, enabling patrons to immediately purchase artwork. Round out your evening with a western dinner, a live auction and a chance to kick up your heels!

Tickets also include the Eye Opener Art Review on Friday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to noon and refreshments will be served. Tickets to the Opening Reception are $145.

“The Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show and Sale is one of the most respected and prestigious western art exhibitions in the Rocky Mountain Region. We are able to attract top artists who use canvas, wood, alabaster and bronze to capture the real West,” said Mike Ceballos, chairman of the Western Art Show and Sale Committee. “There isn’t a better place to see how the everyday life of the cowboy, the lives of Native Americans, and the great American West and its wildlife make an impression on these outstanding artists,” he said. “A visit to Cheyenne Frontier Days wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Old West Museum to see and experience the outstanding works of art on display.”
