In 2016, Exhibits and Collections teamed up to upgrade the collections space for two-dimensional art in the Museum and provide a unique new show for our guests. The result was the Off the Floor Art Show. Part of the show included discussion stations where community members could submit information for pieces they recognized. From artwork stored in densely packed, poor conditions to new space saver racks, the result of the show was new means to store, preserve, and understand the collections in new ways, not to mention bring our community into the collection in a novel way.
