Key Traffic Notes – General Operations
Peak Egress
Gate V-10
Large Vehicles & Trailers
Large trucks and trailers are encouraged to remain parked until Peak Egress concludes. If departure is necessary during Peak Egress, vehicles will generally be directed to exit via Gate V-12 onto Hynds Boulevard.
Traffic from the “Avenues”
Vehicles entering West 8th Avenue from residential streets north of Frontier Park have restricted turning movements during event traffic.
Parking Restrictions
No parking is permitted on West 8th Avenue during Cheyenne Frontier Days. These restrictions remain in effect throughout the event to maintain traffic flow and preserve emergency access.
Uber & Ride Share Pick-Up
Please help reinforce these traffic patterns with your committee members, volunteers, contestants, vendors, and guests. If Traffic Control personnel or the Cheyenne Police Department provide directions that differ from normal roadway operations, their instructions always take precedence.
