CFD Named AMC 2026 Fair/Rodeo of the Year

CHEYENNE, WY (June 30, 2026) – Cheyenne Frontier Days ™ has been named the 2026 Academy of Country Music Fair/Rodeo of the Year, one of the country music industry’s highest honors recognizing excellence in presenting live country music.

The award will be presented during the 19th Academy of Country Music Honors on August 19 in Nashville, Tennessee. The annual ACM Industry Awards recognize organizations that make significant contributions to country music through outstanding live entertainment experiences.

“This recognition is an incredible honor for everyone who makes Cheyenne Frontier Days possible,” said Tom Hirsig, CEO of Cheyenne Frontier Days. “From our volunteers and staff to our sponsors, partners, artists and loyal fans, this award belongs to an entire community that has worked for 130 years to create an unforgettable experience celebrating Western heritage and country music.”

The Academy of Country Music’s Fair/Rodeo of the Year honor recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in country music entertainment, production, artist relations and the overall fan experience. Industry professionals from across the country music business select the recipients. Cheyenne Frontier Days was selected over fellow finalists Calgary Stampede, California Mid-State Fair, Florida Strawberry Festival and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

The recognition comes during a milestone year for Cheyenne Frontier Days as the organization celebrates its 130th anniversary and prepares to welcome fans for ten days of PRCA rodeo action, Frontier Nights concerts, Xtreme Bulls and the grand opening of the Morning Star American Indian Village.
