MeadowAnn King, Miss Frontier 2027

MeadowAnn Marie King, 21, is the daughter of John and Ginger King. She is the middle of three children, with an older brother, Wyatt, and a younger sister, Bella.

A 2024 graduate of Cheyenne Central High School, MeadowAnn was active in sports, FFA, 4-H, and FCA, while also serving in several leadership roles. Wrestling became her greatest passion, leading her to make history as Wyoming’s first female 145-pound unofficial state champion in 2022 and official state champion in 2023, as well as the first female state champion from Cheyenne. She is also a three-time Ron Thon Champion, an All-American, and has competed nationally with Team Wyoming.

Following graduation, MeadowAnn continued her wrestling career at Iowa Western before returning home to further her education at Laramie County Community College. She is pursuing degrees in elementary education and kinesiology, combining her love of athletics with her passion for working with youth. In addition to her studies, she volunteers at Element Church, participates in Bible study, and serves as a volunteer wrestling coach.

MeadowAnn’s involvement with Cheyenne Frontier Days began as a scooter kid on the Tickets Committee. She later realized her dream of serving as a CFD Dandy, an experience made even more meaningful by sharing the role with her sister, Bella. Over the years, she has also contributed as an outrider for the parades. Her family’s connection to Frontier Days is longstanding—her father volunteered on the Indians Committee, and her mother competed in the Matched Horse Races before also becoming an outrider.

“I am deeply honored to be Miss Frontier 2027,” MeadowAnn said. “This role is about carrying forward the traditions of Lady-in-Waiting and Miss Frontier, representing the brand with integrity, serving alongside our dedicated volunteers, and upholding the traditions that have shaped both my family and me. Cheyenne Frontier Days is more than a rodeo—it is a family and a legacy—and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent the Daddy of ’em All.”

Chadron Hockley, Lady-in-Waiting 2027

Chadron Fay Hockley, 24, is the daughter of Dale Hockley and JoEllen and Brandon Connolly. She is the middle child with a younger sister, Kaycee, and two older brothers, Christopher and Matthew. Chadron also has three stepsisters, Shelby, Laura, and Jordan.

Chadron is a 2020 graduate of Wheatland High School, where she participated in many activities, including volleyball, basketball, and FFA. She played AAU travel volleyball for many years, competing at high levels. As a senior, she was selected as the 2019-2020 Wheatland FFA Sentinel, committing herself not only to her chapter but to the entire organization. Throughout her time in FFA, Chadron and her Agronomy team won the 2018 Wyoming State FFA and placed within the top 10 at the National FFA Convention. She concluded her time in FFA by securing a livestock judging scholarship to Laramie County Community College.

Chadron then enrolled at IBMC Fort Collins, where she earned her Esthetician degree.

She is currently a Licensed Esthetician specializing in eyelash extensions and is the owner of H7 Silver Co, her silversmithing company.

Chadron is a second-generation Cheyenne Frontier Days volunteer. Her passion and commitment to the western way of life shined throughout her time as a Toe. Her dedication to working at Chute 9, The Cowboy Bistro, outriding parades, and the Challenge Rodeos made her transition to the Rodeo Committee in 2020 an ideal fit. Her father’s 26 years of involvement on the Rodeo Committee gave her an even greater appreciation for the traditions and values of Cheyenne Frontier Days.

“I am incredibly honored to represent and serve as the 2027 Miss Lady-in-Waiting. To me, being Lady-in-Waiting is more than just a title. It is about our more than 2,000 volunteers, rodeo athletes, animal athletes, fans, and so many others. It is about the timeless traditions and history of Cheyenne Frontier Days and Wyoming as a whole,” Hockley said. “This role is an opportunity to promote and serve an organization that works hard year-round to create the best 10 days of July. I am humbled to have the opportunity to keep our mission alive for the 131st Daddy of ’em All.”
