Frontier Nights® lineup announced live from Las Vegas as WNFR kicks off

CHEYENNE, WY – In a live announcement made from the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, Cheyenne Frontier Days™ (CFD) announced all but two of the names for the 2018 Frontier Nights® entertainment series. In addition to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo, the Championship Bull Riding (CBR) World Finals will return to the arena in 2018.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, December 16 at 9 a.m. MST at www.cfdrodeo.com, the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Ticket Office and by calling (307) 778-7222.

Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell, Charlie Daniels Band with special guest Tracy Lawrence, Eric Church, and Dierks Bentley were announced live, from Las Vegas and live streamed on the Wrangler Network.

“We are excited about the lineup for 2018,” Contract Acts chairman Scott Fleming said. “We are working on securing the remaining performances and will have a follow-up announcement at that time.”

Championship Bull Riding returns to Cheyenne Frontier Days to crown the 2018 CBR World Champion bull rider with a $100,000 check. Six-time World Champion Sage Kimzey broke all CBR records in 2017 when he won an unprecedented third CBR World title.

Additionally, the 122nd annual “Daddy of ‘em All®” will feature nine days of PRCA professional rodeo that will culminate in Championship Sunday where champions are crowned and legends are made.

There will be hundreds of vendors, a full carnival, artists, food and music that celebrate the history and culture of the American West.

Night show ticket prices will range from $29 to $71, with daily rodeo tickets costing $20 to $35. A $3 discount is offered on rodeo tickets purchased before July 1.

Fans can upgrade to a Frontier Nights® Fast Pass for early admission to the Party Zone, a voucher for best-available same-day rodeo tickets and a souvenir rodeo program. For a full events schedule and profiles of musical acts, go to www.cfdrodeo.com.

Nickelback, July 26

Nickelback released their ninth studio album Feed The Machine in June of 2017, which debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard charts and fueled a packed 45-city tour of North America this past summer. Since forming in Alberta, Canada in 1995, the multi-platinum group’s successes include worldwide sales of more than 50 million units, solidifying their status as the “eleventh best-selling music act” and second best-selling foreign act in the U.S. of the 21st century—behind only The Beatles. Their smash “How You Remind Me” was named Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Song of the Decade’ and was No. 4 on the Top 10 songs of the 2000’s list.

Toby Keith, July 27

Toby Keith’s debut single “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” shot up the charts to become his first No. 1. Since then, the engine driving everything else has been the music. He writes, arranges, and produces his songs and then releases them on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville. His songwriting was recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him Songwriter/Artist of the Decade and he is a three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year. Keith’s albums have sold more than 40 million copies. His tours have drawn more than a million fans each year for more than a decade straight, with recent expansion into Europe and Australia; awards include Artist of the Decade nods from Billboard and the American Country Awards, as well as the ACM’s Career Achievement honor.

MORGAN EVANS ADDED TO THE 2018 FRONTIER NIGHTS LINEUP

Morgan Evans has been added to the 2018 Frontier Nights lineup. Evans will perform on July 21 with Cole Swindell and Chase Rice.

Tickets on-sale now at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Ticket Office or at www.cfdrodeo.com or by phone at 307-778-7222.

Morgan Evans, July 21

Morgan Evans’ first U.S. single “Kiss Somebody,” co-written by Evans with Chris DeStefano (“That’s My Kind of Night”) and Josh Osborne (“Leave the Night On”), was the Top 3 most added single upon impact at country radio and debuted on Spotify’s Viral Chart at #15 in the US and #26 globally. Born and raised in Australia, the singer/songwriter is now chasing his dream halfway across the world, already receiving critical praise from outlets like Rolling Stone, Billboard and Music Row. Citing Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Led Zeppelin and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as his formative influences, Evans has been crafting relentlessly hopeful and wholly infectious music since the age of 13. His raw talent and undeniable on-stage charisma earned him spots early in his career touring with artists such as Alan Jackson and Taylor Swift while still in Australia. Now having signed with Warner Music Nashville/Warner Bros. Records, Evans is bringing his engaging live show all over the world. Built around a loop pedal setup, it allows him
to play solo with the presence and energy of a full band. Evans is currently in the studio working on his forthcoming album with songwriter/producer Chris DeStefano (Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan).
